What’s everybody doing to be even more queer and trans in the face of all this bullshit? Sound off

@riotmuffin I haven't a clue, I have no spine.

@riotmuffin hmm I need to get some tranarchy patches or smth.

also I scared some transphobes away just being with my kiddo at a playground last year so more of that lol

@asterism @riotmuffin

Been makin patches to share, very WIP, am low vision+colorblind, lmk if you'd like any or wanna share critique! Aside from this, doin gay crimes, making recipes for queer worker co-op, supporting my local sibs at diff points in their transing, setting up a queer nicotine+ private chatroom, and plotting more gay plots 😈

Pictured: denim patches with stamped acrylic designs, some bisected with color and black to evoke anarchic tendency flags (attemped an-fem and queer-an). There are three designs of stamps: 1, a relationship anarchy symbol (an A and heart fused together, similar to a circle A) 2, a chaos star (eight arrows expanding outwards from a central point) 3, a transgender anarchy symbol ("spikey" circle A fused with the transgender symbol)

@asterism @riotmuffin @Catherine9883 is that linocut? It looks really cool!! You’ve inspired me, now I want to get creative with using different colors to get effects like that too! How did you get it to line up so perfectly?

@Catherine9883 @asterism @riotmuffin those chaos stars in the second picture look like you’ve printed on the same spot 2 times, did you just eyeball it or did you use some trick to make it align?

@enby_of_the_apocalypse @asterism @riotmuffin mostly eyeballin and muscle memory, linocuts I made are unregistered (newbie!). Next batch I make I will register to use in a slidey bed rolly thingy

@Catherine9883 @asterism yooooooo this is hella dope, i'd love to trade ya some zines/stickers for a couple of these, dm me?

@Nimbius666 @riotmuffin I got my first piercings (basic lobes) with lapis lazuli studs, and a vasectomy (I'm more nonbinary than anything and would prefer castration, but that's harder to get). :blobfoxgoogly:

@Nimbius666 hell yea, I gotta get on top of dyeing my hair again I guess!

slur

@riotmuffin started dressing like more of a dyke, started carrying a weapon, started being more political at work with customers

@riotmuffin my travel sticker container is reloaded and ready to announce trans pissing in public restrooms.

@riotmuffin

Donate to lambda legal and my local LGBT center?

The centers would really like some funding not dependent on a white christian nationalist autocratic regime.

@riotmuffin Teaching folks about security culture, how to make safety plans within the community (and practicing them), and papering more queer and trans stickers on my medical devices (especially the wheelchair).

Oh and reminding people that yelling at Democrats can't be our only route forward. We should follow in Stonewall's footsteps and break out the bricks.

@riotmuffin I'm gonna paint my bricks the trans and/or nonbinary flag I think. That'll make an imprint.

@riotmuffin we're planning to

1) continue loudly existing
2) be there for the trans kids in our lives
3) get involved with, or try to create, trans surgery networks/safe houses
4) buy into archery (I'm very uncomfortable with guns so this is the defense and hunting solution we're going to focus on)

@riotmuffin (also I've done archery for years whereas I have never even held a gun and don't want to lol. something to be said for what you know!)

@riotmuffin less of a what am I doing for myself answer, but I spend a lot of time with kiddos, they naturally have questions about gender and what's "boy stuff or girl stuff". I try really hard to be extra intentional about my responses in those moments. Even things as simple as the younger ones asking "am I a girl or a boy?" I generally respond with something like "well how do you feel? What do you want to be?" or "that's up to you! How exciting!!". It feels extra important to make sure they feel safe in their exploration, and I push back on anyone who says anything sideways or tries to limit their curiosity. Making sure kids feel safe and supported through this feels like a major priority for me.

@riotmuffin quietly distro diy hrt for the dolls and be more loudly queer and trans in my every day existence for a start
